Comic Cover Throwbacks: Batman & Robin edition
Most of us know and like the dark, gangsta-ass Batman of modern times, so if you don't know your Batman history these covers may surprise the sh!t outta you. Here are some ol' school, classic Batman comic book covers that Adam West would go crazy for and Christopher Nolan would probably cringe at. Warning: many homo-erotic undertones in this collection.
Probably the most gangsta & creative of the bunch... its kinda downhill from here.
Captain Morgan got everyone drunk so he could take advantage of them.
Yeah Robin, eat that ass.
Robin can't wait for Alfred to "drop it likes it hot" so he can slap on it.
Weirdest circle jerk ever... and why can't I see Robin's eyes?
(big thanks to comicbrowser)

Inspiration: the art of Krzysztof Domaradzki
This week's inspiration is from Krzysztof Domaradzki (aka Kxx).
First spotted Domaradzki's work from a digital design magazine called Bak (issue 14). What I like the most is the movement/expressiveness of his illustrations. His added detail with the shapes and open forms is such a dope touch. Check out more of his illustrations @ his design studio (based in Poland): website.

Swaggerchilles illustration
Here's a drawing of Swaggerchilles, King of the land of Pimp, from my 'The Pimp King' comic. With updated armor inspired by the 'Dark Knight' (the mesh looking material is chainmail armor), samurai inspired sword sheath placement, and of course bling with his big ass 'S' medallion and pinky rings. Not to mention his trademark perm.

Inspiration: the art of Hyung Taekim
Taekim is crazy with it... chicks with crazy hips and art with crazy detail. Click below for more pics from his work on the Magna Carta II video game.
heres some wiki info:
Hyung-Tae Kim (born February, 1978, Seoul) is a Korean artist. He has designed characters for video games such as the Magna Carta series and the later installments of the War of Genesis series (War of Genesis: Tempest, War of Genesis III and War of Genesis III: Part 2).(hyung-taekim.org)
Kim began his video games career working in the field of background music, then shifted to art and design. He has branched out into the comic book industry, serving as a guest cover artist, and has contributed to the Udon street fighter series.
Kim is an artist in the manhwa style. His latest artworks use a deformation technique where Kim disregards anatomical accuracy to achieve a specific feel to the character. (via wiki)
